  • Chicken breasts: I’m using skinless and boneless chicken breasts
  • Natural Ancient Sea Salt: Optional
  • Black pepper
  • Smoked paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Oil: I’m using avocado oil, but olive oil also works well for this recipe

  • Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • Butter: You can use unsalted butter to have more control of the salt.

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Breasts in the Air Fryer

  1. Mix the spices in a small bowl. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and add the meat to a large mixing bowl with the spices and oil. Toss to coat the chicken evenly.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes per side (or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees), depending on how large your chicken breasts are. 
  3. Mix the buffalo sauce ingredients.
  4. Toss the cooked chicken in the sauce, allow it to rest in the buffalo sauce for 5 minutes, and serve (Extra buffalo sauce can be served with the chicken in a dipping cup).
