This Ground Chicken Spaghetti recipe is a delicious and quick meal for the whole family to enjoy. I use simple spices and pantry ingredients to make this dish full of flavor in about 30 minutes. Enjoy this with garlic bread or a vegetable side dish like a salad to make an easy meal.
Why Make Spaghetti with Ground Chicken
- Ready in 30 minutes: This dish is easy to prep and cook, the perfect option for busy weeknight dinners.
- Uses ground chicken instead of pork or beef, which is sometimes more budget-friendly and also leaner
- Simple ingredients: Most of the ingredients used are already in your kitchen or you can easily find them in your local grocery store.
Ingredients Needed
Here’s what you need to know about the ingredients in this recipe to make it successfully:
- Ground chicken: 93% lean ground chicken. I prefer to use ground chicken that says ground dark meat on the packaging. By using ground chicken thighs (or an option with the highest fat content), you’re able to keep the meat from drying out.
- Avocado oil: is my go-to cooking oil. But, you can also use things like olive oil in this recipe.
- Sea salt: this is optional. You can salt this dish to taste at the end.
- Garlic powder
- Dried parsley
- Black pepper
- Italian Seasoning
- Grated parmesan: I get this from the refrigerated section of the market
- Marinara Sauce: I prefer this over regular pasta sauce because it tends to have more chunks of fresh vegetables. You can use your favorite spaghetti sauce though.
- Spaghetti Noodles: I cooked a half pound of pasta according to the package directions.

Recipe Tips & FAQs
- Make it lighter by using air fryer spaghetti squash in place of the pasta.
- Use air fryer chicken meatballs instead of ground chicken meat sauce.
- Simmer the sauce on low to keep the marinara sauce from popping out of the pan
You can add oil and sauce to the ground chicken like I do in this ground chicken spaghetti recipe.
Ground chicken is made of the dark and/or white parts of boneless chicken meat.
I buy ground chicken with the highest fat content. Some people add ground pork to boost the fat in their ground chicken.
I use Italian seasoning, salt, garlic, parsley, and black pepper fo my ground chicken spaghetti sauce. You can use any seasonings of your choice.
